PowerGain alternators are designed to mount in the same location as the OEM alternator and be driven by the OEM accessory belt system.

PowerGain alternators utilize a separate control box (11"x14"x6") that is intended to be mounted inside the vehicle (van) or utility body.

PowerGain alternators can support the vehicle electrical system as well as accessories up to its maximum output. If the installation is to power a high output inverter system, then it is recommended that the control box be as close as possible to the inverter.

Cable systems for individual installations can be supplied by PowerGain or the installer; however, gage, cable specifications and terminal installations must be in accordance to PowerGain specifications and requirements. Cable and terminal requirements are critical to support maximum system output.
